Paris, 1963. The youngest of a family of six, Roland, is a boy like no other. According to the doctors, he'll never walk, but his stubborn mother, Esther, simply refuses to accept this.

While they have a rare evening of fine dining to savor the moment, their joyous celebration is shattered when Nina is found brutally murdered. The investigation quickly identifies Dika as the prime suspect, leading to his swift arrest.
