不扣钮的女孩

　　座落冲绳的「Hotel Hibiscus」，虽然名为酒店，却是只有一间客房的古旧民宿。里面住着小三女生美惠子和她的家人。美惠子活泼好动，每天和朋友一起去探险。某日，美惠子放学回家时，遇到了倒在地上的青年，并把他带回Hotel Hibiscus…　　导演中江裕司继《Nabbie's Love》四年后的新作，《Hotel Hibiscus》继续以冲绳为舞台。电影改编自Nakasone Miiko的同名漫画，描写小三女生美惠子的冒险和成长。饰演美惠子的蔵下穗波是在3千名冲绳小学生中挑选出来，合演者包括平良Tomi、冲绳民谣歌手照屋政雄、余贵美子等。

　　正值青春期的少女艾玛（苏菲·瓦瓦希尔 Sophie Vavasseur 饰）因小事与父母发生争吵，继而用玻璃碎片割破自己的手掌。在此之后，父母子女的关系虽有所松动，但是新的危机已悄悄展开。艾玛是不是会做出些奇怪的举止，这令父母异常担心，于是只得将艾玛留在家中接受教育。期间他们尝试带女儿去看具有催眠本领的心理医生，谁知医生最终猝死艾玛的膝上。艾玛自感自己已被魔鬼附体，因此不顾崇尚科学的父母的反对，执意求助于因驱魔失败而被革除神职的舅舅基斯（道·布莱德利 Doug Bradley 饰）。　　基斯似乎渐渐证实了艾玛的猜测，而她体内那股邪恶的力量也变得越来越强大……

　　Set in an underground dungeon inhabited by bundled, ragged human beings, after the nuclear holocaust. The story follows the wanderings of a hero through the situations of survival. People wait for the Ark to arrive and rescue them while their habitat falls apart.　　Delving deep into the dusty and long abandonded vaults of b-cinema in search of lost gems always leaves me with a bittersweet taste. On one hand the discovery of unexpected gems where no one would think them possible is a rewarding experience. On the other hand though it makes one wonder how many of these remarkable low-budget oddities, personal love affairs of directors never quite famous and now all but forgotten, have almost forever slipped from memory?　　n any case what we have here is a little post-apocalyptic gem from Poland that is really better than it has any right to. The dystopian near future of O-BI, O-BA finds a group of survivors of the nuclear war that ravaged the Earth inhabiting an underworld concrete bunker and biding their time as they wait for the mysterious Ark, an air ship of some kind that will come and save them. The Ark proves to be an elaborate hoax, carefully designed to give hope to the malnourished and desperate denizens of the bunker, while in the meantime the dome that separates their miserable existence from the nuclear winter outside is slowly caving in.　　What first striked me about the movie is the design of the bunker and the depiction of the survivors. The survivors are gaunt, filthy and terrible-looking penitents, dressed in rags and aimlessly wandering the neon-lit halls of the bunker like automatons. The bunker is a rundown, seedy place, with bright neon lights peering from all sides like the eyes of malignant beasts.　　On one hand it is a slightly 80's depiction of the dystopian future but the movie never stoops down to MAD MAX cheese. Instead it combines biting political satire with the bleak outlook of a world with no future, black comedy with barbs on apathy, religion and power. The survivors, for example, are fed some kind of flour dropping from a tube that hovers in the air - later on we discover the food supervisor uses books and the Bible itself as filler for this meagre meal. There are many such short symbolic touches, perhaps not life-changing or faith-restoring, yet playful, clever and inspired.　　One thing is for sure; O-BI, O-BA is not your run-of-the-mill sci-fi schlock. It overcomes its modest budget with creativity and has genuine artistic aspirations both from a writing and directing perspective. My opinion is that it should have been filmed in black and white instead of colour though. The director uses atmospheric light and shadow to great effect and it would have registered even better in stark black and white. The blue-green neon on the other hand outstays its welcome after a while. Just a minor gripe in an otherwise solid b-movie with its heart set in all the right places.　　Imagine a less bleak THE ROAD (Cormac McCarthy) being injected with the satire and humour of DR.STRANGELOVE and you're getting there. See it if you can find it.

　凯拉（劳拉·乔丹 Laura Jordan 饰）、梅丽莎（尼姬·埃克斯 Nicki Aycox 饰）、鲍比（尼克·扎诺 Nick Zano 饰）和尼克（凯尔·施密德 Kyle Schmid 饰）等四个年轻人正驱车前往拉斯维加斯，准备参加那里举行的聚会。他们的车载半路抛锚，四人寻求帮助时在荒野找到一座空无一人的房子，继而在仓库里找到一辆跑车。经过一番讨论，他们决定留下联系方式，暂时把车开走，并负责赔偿车主的损失。                                                                    　　然而他们的想法过于天真，这辆汽车的主人正是恐怖的锈钉（马克·吉本 Mark Gibbon 饰），凯拉等人破门而入和偷走汽车的行为彻底惹恼了他，锈钉的疯狂狩猎也随即展开。凯拉等人命悬一线…
